What's to do

The 9th Eddystone Charity Sailing Pursuit takes place on Saturday 17th July and offers you a unique opportunity to raise the profile of your organisation. Its typically aimed at the cruising sailor, but anyone from amongst your supporters with a suitable yacht could enter this one day event. Sailed from the Royal Western Yacht Club of England start line out to the Hand Deeps buoy (south west of the Eddystone light) and back; a course of roughly 26 miles.

"......a marathon, worthy of sponsorship, it's a must......"

A private charitable trust puts forward in excess of £10,000 worth of prize money, allocated according to time taken and sponsorship raised. In addition to the money the boat has raised, that extra prize money goes direct to the charity, sufficient for a small project maybe!

":.....the Eddystone Charity Sailing Pursuit is the catalyst for your supporters to find new and exciting way to raise money and catch the imagination......"

The first across the line does not necessarily scoop the pool! Its all about raising cash for good causes and prior additional support for the competitors, many of whom set sail without the knowledge of the benefiting charity, could dramatically boost the size of their contribution and provide a focus for more local fund raising.

Don't miss out

If you haven't tried the event before, it's not too late, the opportunities are there, take the challenge and watch your fund raising take on a new dimension. See your champions best   the field and bring home the treasure. Over £170,000 has been generated for good causes, we would like your charity to benefit and propose early nomination of your competitors.
